Fall is officially here:)) Time for sweater weather! At the moment I’m obsessed with outfits around cool jackets. You can easily elevate an outfit with the right jacket and as a plus it’ll keep you warm. In Boston right now, the weather is getting cooler and layering is definitely becoming a must. I think that a cool jacket can make any fit look so much more put together-almost instantaneously. Here’s some styles that we are obsessed with at the moment:
1. Leather Jackets
This is the most obvious, and a classic. A leather jacket will never go out of style. Personally, I love the slightly oversized ones, as it makes it easy to layer over heavier tops like sweaters and hoodies.
2. Overcoats/Peacoats
Another favorite of mine at the moment is a slightly oversized peacoat. I think this can also easily elevate an outfit, even one as simple as a sweatsuit with a coat over top *drooling*. Not only is an overcoat chic and will never go out of style, it’ll keep you so warm when layering with it.
3. Tweed Jackets
I think I blame Zara for this one. The amount of cute tweed jackets they have is amazing and I am continuously thinking of outfits with them incorporated. I think that tweed will always come back on trend. It’s just so chic and cool:)) You can dress up or down a tweed jacket and you’ll be giving everyone around you outfit envy. Imagine this: the perfect pair of medium-light wash straight leg jeans, a cream turtleneck long sleeve, with a tweed jacket over, maybe styled with some loafers,sneakers, or even boots, and if it’s freezing you can add a beanie and scarf! *chefs kisses*
4. Vests
A vest is perfect for the beginning of fall when it’s cool, but not freezing just yet. I think that a simple vest, especially a puffer vest, can make an outfit look more put together. A vest gives the vibe that you just have your shit together… I think vests are perfect to dress up a casual outfit a bit more.
5. Shackets
Shackets are here to stay. The flannel pattern is the epitome of fall and the thickness of it being a jacket is perfect to keep you cozy in the cool weather. With a shacket you can keep it casual or go more bold with it depending on the length and color you choose.
6. Puffer Jackets
As the weather gets colder it’s always a good idea to invest in a puffer. It’s never going to go out of style, you’ll always need it every year, and it’ll elevate any outfit. A win-win in every way, take this as a sign to go buy one if you already don’t own one!
7. Aviator Jackets
The famous Acne Studios jacket continuously gets praised this time of year. This style of jacket is so chic and very fashion-forward. A variation of a leather jacket, it’s perfect for both fall and winter. We’ve been drooling over the ones at Zara.
